P-Square: ''So Many Fraudsters Claiming to Be US! Beware!''
Last
year, a Nigerian fraudster duped a French promoter of a whopping
$100,000 after he opened bogus accounts on Twitter and Facebook and
claimed he had the franchise to manage P-Square for two years in France.
It
would seem more people have toed the path of the unfortunate show
promoter who has since learnt that when it comes to Naija, the Internet
is not a very good place to do business as it is crawling with
fraudsters.
However,
obviously agitated at the rate at which fraudsters are swindling show
promoters both locally and internationally while posing as artiste
managers, the P-Square twins have issued a warning to their fans. Peter
Okoye posted a disclaimer on his Twitter account @PeterPsquare and
tweeted thus (see photos below):
P-Square
is currently believed to be the highest earning group in the Nigerian
musical space, charging as much as $150, 000 per show internationally
and N10 million locally.
Have you ever fallen a victim to Internet fraudsters, and, specifically, to Nigerian ones?
