Grammy-winning R&B singer Chris Brown has rejected a plea deal in a misdemeanor assault case stemming from an altercation outside a Washington hotel, his lawyer said on Wednesday. Brown is charged with breaking the nose of a 20-year-old Maryland man who tried to get a picture with him in October. His bodyguard, Christopher Hollosy, faces the same charge. A lawyer for Brown, Danny Onorato, told reporters the deal had been turned down because "Chris Brown's not guilty." He said he expected a date for a trial at the District of Columbia Superior Court to be set at a February 20 hearing.   After several weeks of discussions and bickering, the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) has ordered the Broadcasting Society of Nigeria (BON) and the Independent Broadcasting Society of Nigeria (IBAN) to lift the ban imposed on all Nigerian artistes registered with the Copyrights Society of Nigeria (COSON) and begin airplay of the affected artiste's songs. The ban had been placed early December following the complete fall out between COSON and BON/IBAN over unpaid royalties of Nigerian artistes. COSON had been demanding that BON/IBAN release unpaid royalties of artistes amounting into millions of naira before the latter group got fed up and placed an airplay ban on the COSON artistes. The affected artistes included major acts like 2Face Idibia, D'Banj, Bany W, Onyeka Onwenu, Iyanya, Flavour, Ice Prince, Dr Sid, Olamide, 9ice, M.I, eLDee, Ruggedman, Wizkid, Asa, Waje, Omawumi amongst several others. 45-year-old Brian Taylor has a bizzare addiction to petrol and has been caught severally at fuel stations attempting to get high on gasoline. The strange behaviour got him banned by the court in 2005 after he was caught slashing fuel pumps so he could drink the liquid and inhale toxic fumes.
